Following two straight losses as a UFC middleweight Goran Reljic
will be returning to the organization as a light heavyweight once again
where he has found success in his lone bout back at UFC 84 in May of
In a recent interview with Croatian website
Reljic who lost to Kendall Grove earlier this month at UFC 116 feels
that he should have won that fight and feels that another loss would
put him out of the UFC all together.
“I think I should have won. I think I lost the previous
fight [with CB Dolloway] because of takedowns and that’s fair enough.
Demolition. But I think in this fight I got the takedowns and I was
aggressive and so I should have won on points,” he said.

“[If I lose this next fight] I suppose I’ll have to find
another organization, I don’t know. If I lose then maybe I am not ready
for this level of competition. I think I am, but I need to sort some
things out in my head.”

So with that said, Reljic will make a return to the 205 pound weight
class where he scored a second round TKO victory in his Octagon debut
over Wilson Gouveia at UFC 84, but after a career threatening injury to
his back, Reljic is lucky to be fighting if at all where he is thankful
due to the fact that this is where he makes a living.
“It does hurt sometimes [during training], the back is
central to every movement, it is the backbone of operations. But thank
god I am able to fight still.. The doctors told me I’m crazy that I
ever returned to this kind of competition, but this is my life, and
this is where I see myself.”

Reljic expects to be back inside the Octagon this coming November at
a proposed scheduled event in Germany which may be UFC 122 or UFC 123
and once we get more details on the bout we will keep you posted.
